An enclosed structure that protects you and the cockpit from waves, wind and weather. Ideal for both day sailors and offshore cruisers, dodgers feature frame-supported canvas on the top, sides and front.
A traditional dodger is a one-piece project, with front and side Strataglass windows sewn into the canvas. The California-style dodger includes a two-bow bimini-top and five removable enclosure windows. A variation of the California dodger is a hardtop dodger, which has a rigid material top over the frame and five removable enclosure windows.
An open-front canvas top stretched over a metal frame, or bows for the cockpit or deck of a powerboat or sailboat. A bimini top typically covers the helmsman of a boat, and can have 2, 3, or 4 bows.
Bimini tops are typically equipped with either 2, 3, or 4 main bows, which are the parts of the frame that connect from side to side over the width of the boat. The smallest style offered is the 2 bow Bimini top, which is mostly used for shorter Jon style fishing boats, V-hull fishing boats, and inflatables. The most commonly used Bimini top is the 3 bow. There are also sport style tops that consist of 1 or more bows connected by canvas to the windshield or arch.
A protective covering most often constructed on center console vessels, an essential element when you're out on the water enjoying a day of fishing. A boat T-top protects you and your guests from harmful UV rays and excessive sun exposure.

In our history of building marine enclosures we have found Strataglass to be the supreme product for rollable panels. It has proven to be most scratch resistant and highest longevity. Our standard is .040 Strataglass for rollable panels and .060 Tuffak AR for fixed (non/rollable) panels. The lifespan of your canvas is all about how you care for it. Be sure to check out your product's care & cleaning literature to ensure your canvas performs as intended for years to come.
The nature if our process is custom, custom, custom. Each enclosure is different. We template your boat and advise where to split each panel. If your use is unique and you prefer an extra split or panel just let us know and we'd be happy to accommodate to give you the function you need.
We do have standards that we have developed over the years of experience with what we see "works" and "doesn't work". Our team is happy to go over these with you prior to building your custom project to ensure the look and function is what you are envisioning.
Many of our customers utilize the "U-Zip" (often called "smileys") to allow the panel to stay secured with its hardware and easily roll up the inner section to allow airflow and venitlation. We know this is no match for bugs so we can provide U-Zip Screens made from Bettervue mesh, No-See-Um mesh or Soltis 86. All of our panels will have roll-up straps included regardless of the U-Zip option.
Aside from the U-Zips, we can design your enclosure with vents at the top or bottom facing to keep the windows in tact and allow airflow when you want it. Contact us for photos or more information.
